Nordic Walking

Nordic walking is for everyone!

Nordic walking originated in Europe and has become very popular particularly in Finland and Germany. Like cross country skiing it works both the upper and lower body, with similar health benefits of cross country skiing.

Work your upper body muscles

All you need are poles and basic coordination. Arms should swing with the opposite legs as for normal walking or running. The poles are lightweight, can be of fixed or adjustable lengths and should be matched to the walker’s height. The pole tips can be rubber or metal. As with cross country skiing on snow, Nordic walking can be as hard or easy as you want it be.
